Expand your group’s thinking

with an experience in nature.

If I had a quarter for every time a woman told me "I don't have time to think," I'd be retired on a beach in Bali.

Women are facing more change than ever before, and they’re doing it right alongside massive cognitive overload.

The result: we squeeze our deepest thinking, and our biggest desires, into mere moments.

  • 5 minutes of dreaming in the shower

  • 10 minutes of strategic planning while I wait in the pickup line

  • 2 minutes to problem-solve my next offer while I’m also ordering dinner

You’ve dedicated your own work to trying to help them through it all.

  • You know this moment calls for something different

  • You want to spark their deeper thinking

  • And give them something powerful

  • So they can find the clarity and conviction they need to move through it all with more ease.

I designed the Forest’s Edge
group experience to help you do just that.

What is a group experience like?

The Forest’s Edge group experience is a curated outdoor experience designed to help women ignite a deeper connection to their creative and intuitive thinking so they can solve problems and access the big ‘ah-ha’, without going on a retreat.

Marissa has developed a truly unique and powerful experience that works with elements of nature to open access to a new way of seeing things. She works with you to create a bespoke experience where your group can explore the biggest questions on their mind, without distraction and with the cognitive power nature helps them access.

Your guests will:

  • Have the space to really sit with the questions that “keep them up at night”

  • Get clear on their true desires and untangle from what they think they should be doing

  • Craft a specific and manageable action plan to actually walk toward their desire

  • Learn how to work with nature to find their inner wisdom whenever they need to

  • Gain the confidence they need to take an idea forward in the face of uncertainty

Combat Cognitive Depletion

20 minutes in a natural setting drops the stress hormone most directly linked to cognitive depletion.

(Hunter et al., Frontiers in Psychology, 2019)

The Science is Unambiguous:
Nature activates the part of the brain that helps us access our deeper wisdom.

A More Open Mind

The "soft fascination" that happens in nature reactivates the brain's deeper creative machinery.

(Kaplan & Kaplan, 1989; Basu, Duvall & Kaplan, 2019)

15% higher creativity

Workers in environments with natural elements report 15% higher creativity than those in conventional offices.

(Human Spaces Global Biophilic Design Study)

50% Increase in Problem Solving

Four days in nature, disconnected from devices, produced a 50% improvement in creative problem-solving on validated measures.

(Atchley, Strayer & Atchley, PLOS ONE, 2012)

The Forest’s Edge is built on this science. Nature isn't a beautiful backdrop.
It's the strategic intervention.
