The Curiosity Experiment.
Where original thinking
comes back online.
If I had a quarter for every time a client told me "I don't have time to think," I'd be retired on a beach in Bali.
Leaders are facing more cognitive overload than ever. Half your job has become trying to survive the information age.
The result: deep, strategic work gets squeezed between fire drills, eight hours of meetings and 10,000 unread emails.
But here’s what no one wants to say: We don’t need more time to think - we need more attention to think deeply.
Leaders today are interrupted every 2.5 minutes. Science tells us our brains don’t have the cognitive capacity to switch gears that much and still do deep work. The math doesn’t math.
So leaders are outsourcing their strategy to consultants like me, or even worse, they’re giving it to AI.
The result: mediocre business with mediocre results at a pace that just can’t keep up.
We are designing The Curiosity Experiment to fix this gap. The practice and experiences help leaders bring their strategic minds back online so they can answer strategic problems with a clear mind, in the flow of work.

The secret to this experiment is found in the one thing AI can't replace:
the cognitive power of nature.
Your strategy is competing with the next big distraction.
Too solve real problems. To imagine a new future, leaders need something that fits into their daily work and that can combat the cognitive overload to expand our brain’s capacity to access creative problem solving.
And that’s exactly what we are testing inside the Curiosity Experiment.
Nature is the catalyst.
Curiosity is the practice.
Clarity in the chaos is the outcome.
We are building a practice that helps leaders
elevate their cognitive capacity,
using nature as the catalyst.
The Curiosity Experiment teaches leaders how to switch off distraction and ignite the specific cognitive state where creative problem solving becomes possible, without going on a retreat.
This is an experiment for the most forward-thinking leaders. We combine learning with real-time practice to give you a practical space to explore your biggest challenges without distraction and with the cognitive power nature helps you access.
Leaders can participate on their own in an individual session (learn more) - or with their team (learn more).
In the experiment, leaders will:
Tackle the biggest challenge they are facing right now (the “what keeps you up at night” problem)
Learn how to use nature as a catalyst for elevated thinking
Build a toolbox of practices to help them fight distraction and make space for strategic problem solving, in the flow of work
Learn how to make better decisions in the face of uncertainty
Gain the confidence they need to take an idea forward in the face of uncertainty
Combat Cognitive Depletion
20 minutes in a natural setting drops the stress hormone most directly linked to cognitive depletion.
(Hunter et al., Frontiers in Psychology, 2019)
The Science is Unambiguous:
Nature activates the part of the brain responsible for strategic thinking,
sparking a true cognitive shift, not just a wellness gesture.
A More Open Mind
The "soft fascination" that happens in nature reactivates the brain's deeper creative machinery.
(Kaplan & Kaplan, 1989; Basu, Duvall & Kaplan, 2019)
15% higher creativity
Workers in environments with natural elements report 15% higher creativity than those in conventional offices.
(Human Spaces Global Biophilic Design Study)
50% Increase in Problem Solving
Four days in nature, disconnected from devices, produced a 50% improvement in creative problem-solving on validated measures.
(Atchley, Strayer & Atchley, PLOS ONE, 2012)
The Curiosity Experiment is built on this science. Nature isn't a beautiful backdrop.
It's the strategic intervention.
