Book a Forest’s Edge Session

Every woman comes to the Forest's Edge with a different story, but they all walk away with the same thing: trusting herself again.

For the Woman Standing at the Edge of Big Change

The change matters less than the woman facing it.

  • She’s leaving a safe career, or wondering if it's time

  • She’s stepping into something you've never done before

  • She’s doing it all on her own for the first time

  • She’s coming back to her own work after years centered on others

  • She’s in her “I don't give a f*ck” phase.

  • She want to feel what it’s like to move with her own agency

She is done following someone else's recipe
for success and who is ready to write her own.
  • “I left feeling more open and calm than when I arrived. I actually got up and sang and danced rather than grabbing my phone to play Boggle (and you have no idea what a big deal that is for me!). It feels fully baked, very thoughtful, and helpful.”

Julie Sissman, Leadership & Executive Coach

  • “Marissa has the ability to listen deeply and reflect back in ways where your own thoughts and feelings resonate much bigger. She also surfaces things you didn’t even realize were important. And doing all this out in nature just really sticks with you.”

    Liz Ference, Founder Juggle

  • “I wouldn’t have thought to use nature as a way to find new ideas for my career, but it really did help. I walked away feeling energized by new possibilities rather than stuck trying to figure out the ‘right’ next step.”

Jennifer O’Rourke, Licensed Psychotherapist for Moms and Kids

  • "I honestly didn’t realize how much I had been holding on to and how much I needed to focus more on trusting myself. As a coach myself, that is a pretty eye opening experience to have.”

Nichole Howard, CEO, MCH Photography and Wealthy and Well Coaching

  • The Forest’s Edge session wasn't just a meditation or a journaling exercise. Marissa created an experience that helped me access something I don't think I could have gotten to by just thinking or talking my way through it. I'm really, really grateful.

Client, Brandi Croghan, Founder, The What If Collective

What if I told you you don’t need someone else’s certainty to make your next move?

There is a version of you with a mind clear enough to see her own needs. She knows how to walk through uncertainty with clarity and conviction to follow her next dream. That version of you isn't lost, she has simply been waiting to be heard.

You'll find her at the Forest's Edge.

Three ways you can walk to the edge.

“It was like a business coach, a therapist and a friend all in one. I really left with clarity about where to put my energy and have already taken steps that are paying off, both in my focus, my joy and my business.”

How The Session Works

Every experience is tailored specifically to you and your edge. You’ll choose how you want to meet your edge: on your own (audio only), in a live private session with me or in a group gathering.

I’ll guide you from start to finish through a highly curated experience out in nature that will bring you back to the only advice you really need, your own.

You start with one burning question. Usually it’s the one keeping you up at night. Then, I’ll guide you through a few exercises to help you truly step out of your everyday chaos and tap into nature for a new perspective and deeper wisdom to answer your question from a new point of view.

You’ll walk away with three things:

  • Clarity in your own direction.

  • The conviction to move with it, because it’s truly yours.

  • A practice to help you reconnect with your own wisdom whenever you meet your next edge.

Marissa doesn't give you the answers, she helps you remember how to access your own.

It’s a nature-led practice you can use for every part of your life.

Step outside the noise.

You have a solid reason to put our phone away and your feet on the ground. The practice helps you remember what it’s like to listen without distraction. That’s where you’ll find your own wisdom.

Detangle from everyone else’s advice

Every woman who comes to the edge, comes with a bag full of everyone else’s junk. The practice teaches you how to get clear on your own beliefs and decide what you no longer need to follow.

Find your own truth.

It’s probably been awhile since you made room for your own truth. Our minds are often muddled by a voice of limitation. The practice comes with a powerful guided visualization to help you find what’s actually true for you.

Take the first step.

When we’re at the edge, sometimes we want to do 30 things to feel productive. The practice helps you narrow that down to one clear next move that you can do tomorrow.

Meet Your Guide, Marissa

Something unique happens where the forest meets the field. Ecologists call it the edge effect. It’s the least predictable place in nature, and it’s also the most alive.

I never thought about this in my own life until I hit an edge in my career I couldn’t get through. I second-guessed every idea I had for my business. I knew I was ready to leap into something new, but my mind was so cluttered, I couldn’t decide which way to jump.

Time outside changed everything. It’s where I learned to listen to myself above others. And it’s how the Forest’s Edge became a metaphor for my own edges in life and in business.

I started to notice that whenever I felt confusion and resistance, it didn’t mean I was doing something wrong, it meant I was standing at a new edge.

Over time, I built a practice that turned my hikes into eye-opening sessions that helped me work through that resistance. The more I practiced, the more clearly I heard my own wisdom, and the quieter everyone else’s opinions became.
